Sue Ann Emmons with Emmons Painting Service would like to share with us her experience at MMC as a first-time vendor in 2018:
“Emmons Painting Service has been a vendor with the Indiana Apartment Association for 5 years. In 2018 we bit the bullet (so to speak) and registered for a booth at the Midwest Multifamily Conference. It was our hope that having a booth at the trade show would be the first of many to come. The theme for 2018 was “Peace, Love, and Property Management” and the competition for best display and interaction was ON! The vendors incorporated tie dye décor, games, and an enormous amount of entertainment. As a vendor, we had the opportunity to give away prizes to regional and community managers, leasing agents, maintenance staff, and many others in the industry. Our company had the opportunity to meet and greet potential clients that we wouldn’t be able to do during normal business hours.
Since 2018 was our first year as a vendor at the trade show, we weren’t sure what to expect, so we recruited advice from other vendors such as Big Guy Signs and our Sherwin Williams representatives. We are thankful for the opportunity. We hope that anyone who considers a booth will feel comfortable calling us for advice on the endless benefits of attending and participating as a vendor.
In addition to the trade show, we were able to attend the trade show awards dinner. The awards dinner was a spectacular, formal event. Vendors are able to get acquainted with the best companies in the industry through their vigilance and hospitality to communities statewide. Good vendors seek to serve good clients and this dinner allows awards to those who deserve recognition. We are proud and thankful to have been present at such a rewarding event. Did I mention the after party? A special invite allows drinks and association with fellow IAA members on a more informal level. The trade show floor, the Awards Dinner, and the after party are events you don’t want to miss. This annual opportunity will allow companies and you to meet new friends and clientele that could last a lifetime!”
